This full-time opportunity has an immediate start and extends through June 26, with the potential for additional summer work. You’ll play an essential role in helping students reach their physical and educational goals, with a special focus on providing up to 450 compensatory hours to ensure every child receives the support they deserve.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Physical Therapy license in the state of New York
• Experience providing PT services in school settings, ideally with K-12 students
• Ability to manage and document compensatory service hours
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, staff, and families
• Flexibility and organizational skills for managing varying caseloads and scheduling needs
• Commitment to fostering student independence, safety, and participation in school activities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct physical therapy interventions to students ages 5-18 across varied educational settings
• Evaluate students’ physical abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
• Track and fulfill compensatory hours, ensuring compliance with education plans and regulations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate PT goals into students’ educational programs
• Provide training, resources, and support to teachers and families as needed
• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation of all services delivered
