Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Physical Therapy license in New York
  • Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication skills and adaptability across diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct physical therapy interventions to K-12 students based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Assess, document, and monitor each student's progress, adjusting plans as needed
  • Work closely with special educators and support staff to develop strategies promoting student mobility and access within the school environment
  • Conduct assessments to identify barriers to physical participation and recommend modifications
  • Communicate progress and needs to families and educational teams on a regular basis
  • Complete required documentation for compensatory hours and program compliance
