Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a contract Physical Therapist supporting a K-12 school with two closely connected buildings in the Saxapahaw area. This role offers the opportunity to work with a small initial caseload, focusing on two students whose needs may expand over time. You will provide consistent care and help these students achieve their goals within a welcoming educational setting.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapist licensure
- Experience providing PT services in healthcare or educational settings
- Understanding of school-based therapy practices
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff and students
- Adaptability and responsiveness to changing caseloads
What You'll Do:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students based on their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Currently, serve two students: one requiring weekly sessions to make up for previous absences (1 hour/week), and another on a less frequent basis (once per reporting period)
- Work a minimum of 2 hours per week, with the opportunity to increase hours as more needs arise throughout the year
- Maintain accurate records and provide updates on student progress
- Liaise professionally with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure integrated care
- Travel between two buildings (conveniently located across the street from each other)
