Embark on a rewarding contract assignment as a Physical Therapist supporting one homebound student in the Cherry Hill, NJ area. This unique role focuses on delivering dedicated, personalized care through 12 half-hour sessions between now and the start of the school year on August 31. You will play a vital role in helping a student meet their mobility and rehabilitation goals, ensuring they receive the support needed for their educational and physical development.
Ideal candidates will possess expertise in both educational and healthcare environments, utilizing their PT skills to provide targeted interventions. This assignment centers on direct services, with the potential for additional indirect time as needed for documentation or coordination.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Experience in school-based and/or pediatric PT (preferred)
- Ability to develop and implement individualized service plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Background in providing compensatory and make-up PT services is advantageous
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
Responsibilities:
- Deliver 12 half-hour PT sessions to a homebound student, ensuring consistent, high-quality interventions
- Assess student’s needs and adapt sessions as appropriate to maximize progress
- Collaborate with educators and family members to support overall student goals
- Maintain thorough, accurate documentation for all direct services and communicate progress as required
- Prepare for and potentially participate in additional indirect activities, such as coordination or reporting
