Requirements and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid and current Physical Therapy license (or eligibility) in Virginia
  • Previous pediatric or school-based experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and staff
  • Compassionate and adaptable approach to supporting diverse student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students according to IEPs
  • Assess, plan, and document individualized treatment programs
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy approaches as needed
  • Participate in the development of IEP goals and attend team meetings
  • Educate staff and families on appropriate interventions and equipment
  • Maintain clear records and comply with all state, federal, and district regulations
