School-Based Physical Therapist - Chester, Pennsylvania

Step into a rewarding school-based contract opportunity working with a dedicated K-12 population. This full-time, onsite role is located in the Chester, PA area and runs through June 10, 2027, with immediate start available. You’ll support a small caseload, primarily serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual Disabilities (ID), within low-incidence classroom settings. What you bring:

• Active PA Physical Therapy license/certification required
• Prior school-based physical therapy experience a must
• Experience with K-12 populations, especially ASD and ID
• Composure and confidence working in urban school settings
• Willingness to obtain all required Pennsylvania clearances before starting
• Comfortable managing small caseloads in low-incidence classroom environments
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
• Must submit current licensure upon interview

Your role will include:

• Delivering physical therapy services to a diverse K-12 student population
• Conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
• Collaborating closely with teachers, staff, families, and other service providers
• Maintaining detailed documentation in line with school and legal requirements
• Supporting students’ day-to-day success and promoting their independence in the school environment
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapting strategies to meet evolving student needs within an urban education context

The schedule is 35 hours per week with one opening available. Interviews are held via Zoom and the district name will be disclosed directly to candidates during the process.
