Physical Therapist - School Setting in Chester, VT

A rewarding contract opportunity is available for an experienced Physical Therapist eager to make a meaningful difference in both elementary and high school settings. For the 2026/2027 academic year, a passionate professional is needed to support the growth and success of students by providing specialized physical therapy services. You’ll join an inclusive and collaborative school environment, working closely with educators, families, and fellow therapists to help every student thrive.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Vermont Physical Therapist License is required
• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Compassionate, adaptable, and dedicated to fostering student independence and growth

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized physical therapy programs for students, addressing mobility, motor skills, and functional performance
• Serve both elementary and high school caseloads, adjusting interventions to meet diverse developmental needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and support evaluation and documentation processes
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, families, and community providers
• Monitor progress and update therapy strategies to help students achieve their fullest potential
• Maintain compliance with state and district policies and uphold professional standards of care
