Step into a contract position supporting students’ development and mobility needs within a welcoming school environment just outside Chicago, IL. You’ll provide your expertise as a Physical Therapist two days per week, totaling 14 hours, managing a focused caseload of 20 students. While most services are conducted in-person on school grounds, you’ll also have the opportunity to impact a few homebound students, delivering essential therapy in creative and flexible ways. Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Illinois
  • Prior experience working in school-based settings
  • Confidence providing individualized and group PT interventions
  • Familiarity supporting a variety of student needs, including those receiving services from home
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently, yet collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted PT services to students as prescribed in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Travel onsite for in-person sessions and provide services to homebound students as required
  • Monitor, assess, and document student progress
  • Communicate regularly with families, educators, and administrative staff for cohesive care
  • Adapt therapy techniques and plans to meet diverse student needs
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to student goal setting
