Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Illinois
  • Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations encouraged
  • Understanding of IEPs and the special education process
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to adapt treatment plans and strategies to meet diverse student needs
  • Organizational skills for documentation and caseload management

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assess students' motor skills and physical development to determine necessary interventions
  • Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative PT services, adjusting interventions as needed
  • Partner with teachers, counselors, and support staff for comprehensive care
  • Track student progress and maintain thorough records for compliance
  • Educate families and school personnel on strategies to support motor learning in daily activities
  • Support an inclusive, accessible school environment for all students
