Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an onsite Physical Therapist, working full-time with students across a wide age range. This role is ideal for a dedicated PT who thrives in a school-based setting and is passionate about fostering student growth and mobility. You’ll serve a diverse student population, ages 3 to 21, providing in-person support and collaborating with educators and other specialists. The assignment runs from August 19, 2026, through June 1, 2027, and offers a 35-hour work week for an optimal work-life balance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current, active Physical Therapist license issued by Illinois
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations (ages 3-21) preferred
- Ability to work full-time, onsite, adhering to the 35 hours/week schedule
- Strong communication skills and effectiveness collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of evidence-based physical therapy practices and interventions for students with varying disabilities
- Flexibility to adjust to the needs of different school programs and age groups
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative PT services to students as outlined in their IEPs and educational plans
- Assess students’ functional mobility and develop program plans using evidence-based strategies
- Maintain thorough documentation, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing expertise to support student achievement
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff, contributing to professional development and training
- Ensure all services are in compliance with state and federal regulations
