School Physical Therapist | Chicago, Illinois

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing physical therapy services in a dynamic school environment near Chicago, IL. This role offers a varied schedule across three buildings, serving students with unique needs and supporting their growth within educational settings.

In this position, you’ll work 3–4 days each week, assisting students across multiple sites. Building 1 includes 5 students requiring support, with service times from about 7.5 to 60 minutes per week. Building 2 involves 7 students, 4 receiving direct physical therapy (20–60 minutes per week) and 3 receiving consultative services (15–60 minutes per month). Building 3 houses approximately 5–6 students in a cooperative program, with services tailored by IEPs and typically spanning 45–60 minutes per week.

Key qualifications and experience:

• Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
• Understanding of IEP-related therapy planning and documentation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with staff and families
• Ability to travel between school buildings as needed

What you’ll do:

• Deliver direct and consultative PT services tailored to individual student plans
• Support students across a range of ages and abilities, helping them maximize their participation in school activities
• Evaluate student progress and update documentation according to school and legal requirements
