School-Based Physical Therapist - Chicopee, MA

Step into a rewarding contract role working with students as a full-time Physical Therapist in a supportive educational environment. This opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, to June 16, 2027, and offers a consistent weekday schedule of 30-35 hours per week. You'll build meaningful relationships with a small, manageable caseload of 7-9 students, delivering personalized therapeutic support that can have a lasting positive impact on their educational journey.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and valid Physical Therapist licensure
• Experience or strong interest in working within a school setting
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Solid communication and collaboration skills for engaging with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate students’ motor skills and functional abilities as part of an educational team
• Set individualized therapy goals and develop treatment plans based on students' unique needs
• Provide direct PT services to students in accordance with IEPs
• Collaborate with other school professionals and families to integrate therapy strategies into classroom environments
• Document progress, maintain thorough records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
• Serve as a resource for school staff to support adaptive physical education and activity recommendations
