Step into a rewarding contract opportunity this summer, supporting students in a vibrant educational environment near Cicero, IL. This short-term, Extended School Year (ESY) role runs from July 6, 2026, to July 30, 2026, and offers consistent daytime hours—Monday through Thursday, 7:45 am to 12:15 pm. You’ll serve two schools located on the same campus, working with students from preschool through 8th grade.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in Illinois
- Experience delivering PT services in school settings, including ESY programs
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations, especially preschool through middle school
- Strong organizational ability to manage caseload, track data, and communicate progress
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy in alignment with established IEP goals, promoting student participation and success
- Design and carry out developmentally appropriate PT sessions tailored to each student’s needs
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of student progress, collecting data throughout the session
- Compile progress reports at the end of the summer to inform parents and school-year teams
- Foster a welcoming, positive atmosphere where students feel encouraged and supported
