As a valued Physical Therapist, you will work two days a week (14 hours total), balancing your professional aspirations with flexibility and meaningful service. This assignment begins right away and extends through June 9, 2027, allowing you to establish long-term connections with students and staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapy license in Illinois
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations or in school-based settings preferred
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and related school documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable traveling between two school buildings during the workweek
- Ability to adapt interventions across K-12 student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments for students across all grade levels
- Develop and implement customized treatment plans in coordination with educators and families
- Deliver direct and consultative PT services based on each student’s IEP
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with educational standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations to multidisciplinary teams
- Support staff training and consultation on mobility, adaptive equipment, and safe student handling
