Empower student success by supporting physical development across a district’s schools in a rewarding contract role as a Physical Therapist. Work closely with a manageable caseload of 10-15 students, providing direct care to those who will benefit from your expertise in a collaborative school environment.

Your hours, 7:20 a.m. to 2:35 p.m., let you maintain work-life balance while truly making a difference. As you travel between one to two schools, your skills will be a vital part of helping students achieve their goals, both in and out of the classroom.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current, valid Physical Therapist license for Illinois is required
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly preferred
  • Proficient in developing individualized therapy plans and collecting progress data
  • Comfortable working with student IEP teams and diverse school stakeholders
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to support and adapt to the unique needs of each student

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess and support students’ physical development needs across multiple school sites
  • Develop, implement, and monitor personalized therapy plans aligned with IEP objectives
  • Collect, track, and report data on student progress toward established goals
  • Actively collaborate with teachers, family members, and IEP teams to ensure coordinated support
  • Provide consultative input, training, and resources to school staff as needed
