Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in California
  • Experience working in school or pediatric settings is highly valued
  • Knowledge of IEP (Individualized Education Plan) processes
  • Ability to assess, plan, and provide appropriate therapy interventions tailored to students’ individual needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and staff
  • Commitment to supporting diverse learners in an inclusive environment

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
  • Conduct motor skills assessments and recommend adaptive equipment as needed
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and strategies to meet a wide range of student needs
  • Document student progress clearly and in compliance with school and regulatory policies
  • Serve as an active member of IEP teams, offering professional input for student plans
  • Educate school staff and family members on ways to facilitate physical development and accessibility
