School Physical Therapist | Clermont, Florida

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students across multiple schools as a licensed Physical Therapist. This opportunity offers full-time hours, but candidates seeking part-time schedules are welcome to apply—covering the caseload with two or three professionals as needed. Immediate start is possible, with assignment initially set through December and likely extending through the school year.

You'll provide direct and indirect physical therapy services to K-12 students (including some Pre-K), collaborating with another PT and a PTA to serve approximately 94 students distributed over a network of 35 schools in the area. Most days, you’ll travel between two or three school sites, delivering essential interventions and supporting access to education for students with physical needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Florida Physical Therapy license (required)
• School-based experience strongly preferred, but new school therapists considered
• Ability to work independently across itinerant sites
• Comfortable handling a diverse K-12 (and early childhood) caseload
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators and families

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district reporting standards
• Collaborate with school teams to support student mobility and participation
• Manage a flexible daily itinerary among assigned school sites
• Participate in the district’s onboarding process and complete all credentialing steps
