Key Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina PT license required (state participates in PT Compact)
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric therapy setting strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Capacity to adapt services to a variety of student needs and grade levels
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person physical therapy services to K-12 students as part of an engaging educational team
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized therapy plans targeting student goals
- Document progress and maintain compliance with state and district guidelines
- Consult with educators and families to foster student participation and inclusion within the classroom setting
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide recommendations to optimize student support
- Provide ongoing education and training for school staff related to mobility, positioning, and therapy strategies
