Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Physical Therapist license in California (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous pediatric or school-based therapy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to meet diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students to determine functional physical skills, needs, and goals
- Design, execute, and monitor personalized therapy plans within the school environment
- Record and report progress, maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with state and district requirements
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to support student mobility and participation
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to special education team discussions
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and continuing education in pediatric physical therapy
