Qualifications & Skills:

  • Credentials as a licensed Physical Therapist
  • Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in assessing, planning, and administering effective PT interventions
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and relevant state/federal regulations (preferred)
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a school setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students to determine physical therapy needs and create measurable goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative PT services according to IEP requirements
  • Document assessments, progress reports, and session notes according to district and legal guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and parents to foster student progress and well-being
  • Provide recommendations for classroom modifications, adaptive equipment, and mobility aids
  • Participate in IEP meetings and offer expertise on physical development concerns
