What you bring:
- Valid Physical Therapy license for the state of Tennessee (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience providing PT services within a school or pediatric environment preferred
- Strong communication skills to coordinate care with teachers, families, and other therapists
- Ability to develop and adjust individualized treatment plans
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and the special education process
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
- Adaptability for a fast-paced, collaborative school setting
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to identify needs and establish targeted PT goals
- Deliver evidence-based physical therapy services in accordance with individualized education plans
- Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, speech therapists, educational staff, and families
- Monitor progress, adjust treatments, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
- Educate school staff and caregivers on best practices for supporting student participation and mobility
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and fulfill all compliance standards
- Serve as a resource for promoting physical access and safety within the school environment
