This full-time, contract-based position runs from August 3, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and is an onsite assignment supporting a diverse student population in the Fort Worth area. You'll play a vital role in helping students across grade levels, from kindergarten through 12th grade, by evaluating and implementing individualized therapy plans that foster growth, mobility, and participation in educational activities.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist in Texas (ECPTOTE certification required)
- Previous experience working in a school setting, particularly with K-12 populations, is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of the educational model and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Flexible, organized, and able to adapt to shifting caseload needs (serving approximately 35–50 students)
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, educators, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, develop therapy plans, and deliver direct interventions for students with a variety of physical needs
- Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and staff to support students’ access to educational opportunities
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Educate school personnel and families regarding best practices for fostering student mobility and safe physical activity
- Adjust therapy delivery and frequency based on changing needs and student progress
