Physical Therapist - School Setting in Crystal Lake, IL

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapy license in Illinois
• Prior experience as a PT in school settings preferred, but enthusiastic pediatric PTs encouraged to apply
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and other therapists
• Understanding of IEP documentation, therapy planning, and student progress tracking
• Compassion for working with diverse student populations, including those with varying physical abilities
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and create individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
• Provide direct therapy services to students, integrating therapy goals into their educational environment
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other service providers to maximize student success
• Monitor, document, and report student progress, making adjustments as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals
• Educate school staff and parents on strategies to support students’ physical development throughout the day
