Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in California
  • Experience working as a PT in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to adapt therapeutic interventions to meet individualized student needs
  • Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary educational team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students to determine physical therapy needs in accordance with IEPs and educational goals
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized PT treatment plans
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to enhance student outcomes
  • Document sessions, progress, and modifications as required by school policy and laws
  • Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and interdisciplinary discussions
  • Provide staff training and education on physical development and mobility strategies
