Key Qualifications:
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Experience working with school-aged children, ideally within educational environments
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs
- Organizational skills to efficiently manage a small caseload within limited weekly hours
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy assessments and interventions for students, adhering to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Develop and implement therapy goals and strategies that support students’ educational participation
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate therapeutic approaches into the classroom
- Effectively document student progress, attend relevant meetings, and adjust therapy plans as needed
- Offer consultative support to staff and families to advance motor development and functional mobility
