Physical Therapist - School Setting in Decatur, GA

Make an impact supporting students' physical development and well-being as a contract Physical Therapist in a school-based setting near Decatur, GA. This position offers you the opportunity to work closely with students, educators, and families to deliver high-quality care and help every child gain access to meaningful educational opportunities. The role runs from as soon as possible through the end of the school year, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Georgia
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of the unique needs presented in educational environments
• Familiarity with IEP writing, implementation, and participation in IEP meetings
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills

Position Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Collaborate with educational teams, families, and other therapists to support student success in the classroom
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress reporting
• Provide direct therapy as well as consultative services to support student participation and achievement across educational settings
• Educate and train staff and caregivers on strategies, accommodations, and interventions
