Step into a rewarding contract opportunity, providing essential Physical Therapy services as maternity leave coverage in a dynamic elementary school district. This assignment spans from mid-December through mid-March (exact dates to be confirmed), with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m.–3:30 p.m. You’ll serve a lively caseload of elementary-aged students across five elementary buildings, ensuring continuity of care and supporting students’ individualized educational plans (IEPs).

Your expertise will be valued as you collaborate with educators, administrators, and families, helping young learners achieve their physical development goals. You’ll benefit from a supportive environment—including the chance to overlap with the current Physical Therapist before and after the leave for a seamless handoff and ongoing connection throughout your assignment.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license for practice
• Experience providing PT services in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred
• Understanding of IDEA and the IEP process
• Ability to travel between multiple buildings within the district during the workday
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Compassionate approach and commitment to helping children reach their highest potential

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct physical therapy services to elementary students in accordance with IEPs
• Assess, plan, and implement intervention strategies for students’ mobility and motor needs
• Track and document progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support each student’s educational and developmental growth
• Participate in case conferences and contribute to IEP meetings when requested
• Ensure a smooth transition—both stepping into and out of the role
