Step into a summer contract role making a meaningful difference for students from preschool through 8th grade near Des Plaines, IL! This short-term assignment runs from July 6, 2026, through July 30, 2026, with a convenient Monday through Thursday schedule, 7:45 am to 12:15 pm. You’ll provide dedicated PT support at two schools located within the same campus—an ideal setting to focus on your craft while fostering student growth throughout their Extended School Year (ESY) program.
What we're seeking:
- Certification and state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Experience or interest in school-based physical therapy, particularly with PK-8th grade students
- Familiarity with IEP objectives and maintaining therapy goals in a school environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills for progress monitoring and reporting
Your impact:
- Support students in maintaining established IEP goals through individualized and group physical therapy services
- Design and deliver creative, age-appropriate therapy sessions promoting student participation and development
- Maintain accurate documentation by collecting essential data on student performance and progress throughout the session
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and next school year teams through the creation of detailed progress reports at summer’s end
