School-Based Physical Therapist - Des Plaines, Illinois

Key Qualifications:

• Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in Illinois
• Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with students, staff, and families
• Ability to provide compassionate, student-centered care across diverse cultures and abilities
• Familiarity with managing a varied caseload and traveling between buildings

Core Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and provide direct therapy services to students in grades K-12 in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with special education teams, classroom teachers, and parents to develop and monitor treatment goals
• Document progress, maintain records, and contribute to eligibility/IEP meetings
• Provide adaptive strategies to enhance access to the school curriculum and learning environment
• Participate in school-based initiatives promoting movement, safety, and accessibility
