Physical Therapist - School Setting in Des Plaines, IL

Make a direct impact supporting students’ physical development in a dynamic educational environment. This contract opportunity near Des Plaines, IL offers the chance to work district-wide, serving one to two schools as a .4 Physical Therapist. With a focused caseload of 10-15 students, you’ll collaborate closely with dedicated teams to help students achieve their individual physical therapy goals. The work schedule runs from 7:20 a.m. to 2:35 p.m., providing a predictable routine ideal for professionals who value work-life balance and meaningful engagement.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Physical Therapist license required
• Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
• Familiarity with IEP processes and data collection
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
• Passion for supporting students with diverse physical needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy services district-wide, directly supporting students’ physical development
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized therapy plans
• Collect, document, and analyze progress data related to student IEP goals
• Consult and communicate with educators, caregivers, and the student’s IEP team to ensure coordinated support
• Adapt interventions to meet unique student needs within the designated caseload
