Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid state license as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and the ability to develop and implement therapy goals
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and parents/guardians
- Flexible, organized, and capable of managing a varied caseload
- Enthusiastic about contributing to a collaborative team
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ physical and functional abilities within the school environment
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy sessions and recommendations for adaptive equipment or classroom modifications
- Document progress and maintain accurate therapy notes
- Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to support student participation and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the planning and execution of student supports
