Step into an impactful role as a Physical Therapist partnering with students and dedicated professionals in a supportive educational setting. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to foster student achievement and well-being while collaborating with a dynamic therapy team. Located near Murphysboro, Illinois, the position is available for 1 to 2 days per week (8 to 16 hours, depending on your availability) during the school year from August 2026 through May 2027.

Key Qualifications:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist in Illinois
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric therapy strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of IEP development, therapy evaluations, and assessments
  • Previous involvement in supervision or collaboration with Physical Therapist Assistants is a plus
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to engage effectively with students, families, and educational staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical therapy evaluations, re-evaluations, and develop IEP goals tailored to student needs
  • Work collaboratively with another Physical Therapist to co-supervise two onsite Physical Therapist Assistants
  • Provide therapeutic interventions and support progress monitoring for assigned caseload
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation consistent with school and regulatory guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate progress and recommendations with families and school personnel
  • Foster an inclusive, nurturing environment to promote student independence and participation
