A contract physical therapy position is available for the Extended School Year (ESY) program in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, serving diverse student populations with varying needs. This role requires flexibility in hours and locations, focusing on delivering high-quality PT services to students in school and group home settings between June 29 and July 30, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services in school-based and itinerant settings within Bucks County.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to address student-specific goals.
- Adapt interventions to meet needs of students with moderate to severe behavioral and physical challenges.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) standards.
- Participate in Related Services orientation and setup as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must hold active licensure as a Physical Therapist meeting PDE PT requirements.
- Able to commit to the full ESY schedule: Monday-Thursday, student hours generally 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with some variation depending on assignment.
- Reside within 35 minutes of the assigned site and have reliable transportation.
- Comfortable working with students who have moderate-severe needs and behavioral challenges.
- Previous experience in school-based PT preferred.
- Candidates must provide a completed PT supervisor reference, resume with bullet highlights, and proof of licensure.
- Willingness to work in various Bucks County locations, including Lower, Central, and Upper Bucks areas.
- Understanding of Pennsylvania DOE credentialing timeline and processes.
- Candidates who have worked with the client during the past year through another agency are currently not eligible for placement.
Locations and Schedule:
- Itinerant positions in Lower and Central Bucks: 2-4 days per week, 8:45 AM to 2:45 PM.
- Group home itinerant position in Upper Bucks: 2 days per week, hours vary.
- Placement will balance proximity, staff skills, and student needs.
