Physical Therapist - School Setting in Eden, NY

Step into a rewarding opportunity providing valuable physical therapy services to students from November through February. This full-time contract position operates from 7:30 am to 3:15 pm and focuses mainly on elementary-aged students, with occasional responsibilities at a nearby middle/high school just a mile away.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist license for the state of New York
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of school PT practices and healthcare standards
• Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
• Comfortable adapting therapy techniques for elementary and adolescent students

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group physical therapy sessions tailored to students’ needs
• Assess and document student progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with school and legal guidelines
• Develop and update IEP/504 plans in partnership with educational staff
• Travel efficiently between elementary and middle/high school buildings
• Consult with educators and parents to support student success in the academic environment
• Create engaging activities to encourage student participation and progress
• Contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment
