School-Based Physical Therapist - Elgin, IL

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students near Elgin, IL, as a dedicated physical therapy professional two days per week (14 hours total). With a manageable caseload of 20 students, you’ll work primarily on-site, while a handful of your students receive services at home. This flexible position is available for an immediate start, with the possibility of extending your role through the summer.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric PT required
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists
• Ability to adapt therapy plans for both in-person and homebound students
• Exceptional organization and time management to balance part-time hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct PT services to students, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans
• Complete assessments for eligible students and document progress in accordance with school guidelines
• Communicate therapy goals and student progress with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
• Support safe mobility and access for students within school and home environments
• Adjust interventions for a diverse range of physical challenges and learning needs
