Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state license as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create individualized therapy plans based on student needs
- Flexibility to adapt to different school environments and schedules
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students and develop treatment plans focused on achieving functional, academic, and developmental goals
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, special education staff, families, and other therapists
- Document student progress, maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide education to staff and parents concerning support strategies and exercises
- Travel between school locations in the surrounding area as needed
