Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students near Elgin, IL as a school-based physical therapist. This onsite role runs from August 7, 2026, through May 20, 2027, with a part-time commitment of 15 hours per week over two days. Orientation is provided on August 3 and 4 to ensure a smooth transition before the school year begins.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Illinois
- Experience with pediatric and/or school-based physical therapy preferred
- Comfortable working in both resource and self-contained classrooms, supporting students across a wide grade range (K–12)
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Willingness to collaborate with a multidisciplinary educational team
- Flexibility and initiative to adapt interventions and document outcomes
Your Role:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs, collaborating with educators and specialists
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress for students with varying needs
- Utilize provided equipment and testing materials to support student goals
- Actively participate in monthly meetings, roundtables, and annual performance reviews to cultivate best practices
- Engage in process improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of school-based services
- Connect with regional colleagues through a social-media-style intranet, fostering real-time collaboration and resource sharing
