Job Type Contract

Make a meaningful impact working as a contract physical therapist supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a dynamic, collaborative school environment near Elgin, IL. This on-site, part-time opportunity allows you to focus on individualized and group services within both resource and self-contained classroom settings. You’ll provide care two days per week, totaling 15 hours, with the academic year beginning after orientation on August 3-4, and concluding May 20, 2027.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
  • Familiarity with K-12 populations and ability to adapt services to varying needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently while actively engaging in a team atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative PT services for K-12 students in individual and group contexts
  • Develop and implement IEP goals and document student progress
  • Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other therapy staff
  • Participate in monthly meetings, roundtable discussions, and process improvement initiatives
  • Attend orientation and ongoing professional development for continual learning
  • Engage in performance reviews and be receptive to feedback for continued growth
