School Physical Therapist | Elgin, Illinois

We are looking for two dedicated Physical Therapists to fill immediate needs within local schools on a contract basis. These rewarding opportunities allow you to help students reach their potential and thrive in their academic environments.

Openings include:

• A part-time (.6 FTE) Physical Therapist position available for the full academic year.
• A full-time (1.0 FTE) Physical Therapist needed for approximately 8 weeks covering a maternity leave.

What we’re seeking:

• Licensed Physical Therapist with active credentialing in Illinois.
• Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred.
• Strong case management, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Dedication to fostering student mobility, independence, and success within the classroom.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions to students with varying needs.
• Participate in individualized education plan (IEP) meetings, and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring.
• Assess student abilities and develop creative strategies to support access to the curriculum.
• Partner with instructional staff and parents to promote positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and federal regulations.
