Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, valid Physical Therapist license for California
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, educators, and families
- Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students, following IEP mandates
- Develop creative, individualized treatment plans to promote students’ physical development and mobility within the school setting
- Conduct assessments and progress evaluations using standardized tools
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support classroom participation and safe mobility
- Document services and maintain accurate, up-to-date records in compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and offer recommendations for adaptations or equipment when needed
