Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current California State PT license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations is preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a school-based environment
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work independently

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students per IEP goals
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress
  • Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
  • Maintain detailed and compliant documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and ongoing student evaluations
  • Educate staff, parents, and students on mobility, equipment, and adaptive strategies
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives
