This contract-based role offers the chance to work in a supportive educational setting, partnering with students of varying ages to deliver high-quality physical therapy services. Two positions are available: assisting with the Extended School Year (ESY) program and providing services for infants and toddlers. Both positions require on-site presence, ensuring meaningful, hands-on engagement.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Current, active Maryland Physical Therapist licensure
- Experience delivering PT services in school settings preferred
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Commitment to maintaining all required credentials—including HB 486 background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review
- Ability to provide digital copies of licenses upon request
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of different schools and age groups
Responsibilities:
- Carry out individualized and group physical therapy for students as assigned
- Complete thorough assessments for infants and toddlers, or manage school-aged caseloads depending on assignment
- Maintain detailed service logs for each session
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other therapy professionals
- Attend dedicated professional development on June 25th
- Work in person, Monday – Thursday only, with set summer hours (either 24 or 28 hours per week depending on program)
- Ensure documentation and compliance with district and legal requirements
