Key Qualifications:
- Active state physical therapy license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous school-based or pediatric PT experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with teachers, staff, students, and families
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Proficiency in accurate documentation and compliance with state/federal regulations
- Flexibility and adaptability in a changing school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine motor skill development and educationally relevant therapy needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans and participate in IEP/504 meetings
- Deliver direct and consultative PT services to students, both individually and in small groups
- Collaborate closely with educators, school staff, and families to facilitate integrated support
- Maintain thorough records of assessments, progress, and interventions
- Provide education and in-service training to staff as necessary
