Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students near Elmwood Park, IL as a dedicated provider of physical therapy services in a school-based setting. This position enables you to make a direct impact on students’ lives, working with a manageable caseload and an excellent team atmosphere.
This contract is structured for 2 days per week, totaling 14 hours, with the opportunity for an extension into the summer. The caseload includes 20 students, primarily onsite, with a few requiring services in homebound settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois
- Previous experience working in school settings strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfort adapting therapy for both in-person and homebound students
- Ability to start as soon as possible
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct PT services to a diverse student caseload, supporting their educational and mobility goals
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEPs and educational objectives
- Coordinate with educators, family members, and other service providers to maximize student progress
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student performance and therapy sessions
- Travel locally as needed to provide services to homebound students within the district
