Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapy license in the state (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience working with children or in a school setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and document progress
- Passion for advocacy and supporting diverse student populations
- Competency with basic technology for documentation and communication
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ physical therapy needs and develop tailored treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative PT services as outlined in IEPs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Engage actively in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations
- Educate staff and families about strategies for student support and mobility
