With a schedule of three days per week from late April through the end of June, you'll step in as a long-term substitute, making a measurable difference across two engaging school locations. Most work will focus on K-5 students, providing critical support at an essential stage in their educational experience.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in New York State
  • Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or similar therapy environments strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organization abilities
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, student-centered care
  • Flexibility to travel between two school sites as assigned
  • Ability to document notes and progress according to school and district standards

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services to K-5 students in alignment with individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Work closely with supervising Physical Therapist, special education, and classroom teams
  • Track and document student progress, reporting outcomes to relevant staff
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on student achievement and therapeutic goals
  • Support a safe, motivating, and inclusive environment for all students
