With a schedule of three days per week from late April through the end of June, you'll step in as a long-term substitute, making a measurable difference across two engaging school locations. Most work will focus on K-5 students, providing critical support at an essential stage in their educational experience.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in New York State
- Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or similar therapy environments strongly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization abilities
- Commitment to providing compassionate, student-centered care
- Flexibility to travel between two school sites as assigned
- Ability to document notes and progress according to school and district standards
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to K-5 students in alignment with individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Work closely with supervising Physical Therapist, special education, and classroom teams
- Track and document student progress, reporting outcomes to relevant staff
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on student achievement and therapeutic goals
- Support a safe, motivating, and inclusive environment for all students
