Physical Therapist - School Setting in Fairport, NY

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of New York
• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in school or pediatric settings strongly preferred
• Knowledge of IEP processes, goal development, and documentation requirements
• Strong communication abilities with students, staff, and families
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills in dynamic classroom situations
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other therapists to maximize student participation in both academic and functional school activities
• Conduct assessments to determine eligibility and needs, documenting progress and ongoing recommendations
• Offer consultation and training to staff and families regarding adaptations, assistive devices, and support strategies
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with school, state, and federal regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings and school-based team collaboration
