Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential Physical Therapy services for preschool-aged students. This role involves working onsite with children aged 3-5, delivering interventions and collaborating with educators and families within a supportive educational environment. You will be instrumental during the Extended School Year (ESY) program and into the New School Year (NSY) session, with a possible brief extension.
Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York State
- Prior experience working in school settings, especially with preschool populations
- Familiarity with pediatric evaluation tools and therapy techniques
- Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for working with young children, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder or developmental delays
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy to a caseload of 25-30 preschool students, supporting their motor development and functional skills
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress per regulatory and program guidelines
- Work closely with teachers, aides, and family members to create supportive strategies at school and home
- Contribute to IEP meetings and actively participate in developing individualized educational plans
- Comply with all documentation, regulatory, and safety procedures
Assignment Details:
- Located onsite in Rochester, NY
- ESY coverage: July 6, 2026 – August 14, 2026
- NSY coverage: September 8, 2026 – October 31, 2026 (possible extension through November)
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
