Step into a rewarding school-based contract role providing essential physical therapy services to a diverse student population. This opportunity offers an engaging blend of summer Extended School Year (ESY) and full-time school year hours, supporting students from Pre-K through high school across multiple nearby campuses. As part of a collaborative PT/PTA team, you'll serve a caseload of approximately 50 students, ensuring meaningful interventions in an educational setting.
Your schedule for ESY will be Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am – 12:30 pm, from July 8 to July 30, 2026. The full-time position runs August 13, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 3:30 pm (35 hours per week). Mileage reimbursement is provided when traveling between schools, and care will be taken to keep your assigned sites conveniently located.
Key qualifications for success:
- Active licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Experience or strong interest in working in a school setting, with all grade levels
- Willingness to be fingerprinted to support Pre-K students (required)
- Familiarity with early intervention or TPBA (Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment) a plus, though not required
- Commitment to evidence-based, student-centered therapy practices
- Flexibility and strong communication skills to adapt to changing environments and needs
As part of the team, you'll:
- Deliver therapy services that support educational goals and student independence
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with teachers and other school staff
- Engage with families, administrators, and your PT/PTA colleagues to support positive outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and meet all compliance standards
