Step into a rewarding contract position as a physical therapist, delivering essential services to students across multiple grade levels. You will play a vital role supporting a caseload of approximately 50 students, working alongside a PTA team, and making a meaningful impact on young lives. This opportunity focuses on both extended school year (ESY) and full-time academic year coverage, with travel between local schools (mileage compensated), and each assignment thoughtfully coordinated for proximity and efficiency.
Your schedule covers Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling 35 hours weekly for the full academic year (August 13, 2026 – May 28, 2027), as well as ESY hours (July 8–30, 2026: 8:00 AM–12:30 PM, Monday–Thursday). You’ll work closely with students from Pre-K through high school, helping foster developmental, motor, and functional outcomes essential for their success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold an active Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Experience in school-based or pediatric PT settings preferred
- Ability to travel between multiple schools within a given week
- Fingerprinting required for Pre-K student interaction
- Background or certification in TPBA (PreK evaluations) is favorable, but not mandatory
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for student growth and positive outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop/implement individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy services in both ESY and regular academic year settings
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
- Complete documentation and evaluations in compliance with school and legal standards
- Manage a dynamic caseload alongside your PTA colleagues
