School Physical Therapist | Fort Bragg, North Carolina

Step into an engaging contract opportunity serving students across multiple schools near Fort Bragg. In this vital role, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated PT/PTA team to help students reach their full potential. With a manageable caseload of 50 students shared among your team, you’ll make a meaningful impact at various grade levels while enjoying a structured weekday schedule.

Key qualifications and attributes:

• Valid and current license as a Physical Therapist
• School-based PT experience strongly preferred
• Previous exposure to early intervention or Pre-K student populations is ideal
• TPBA (Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment) certification for Pre-K evaluations is a plus, but not required
• Willingness to obtain fingerprint clearance to work with Pre-K students

Responsibilities include:

• Providing direct and consultative physical therapy to students, adapting and implementing intervention plans tailored to individual needs
• Conducting assessments and contributing to multidisciplinary planning, including Pre-K evaluations
• Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ IEP goals across multiple school sites
• Accurately documenting progress and maintaining compliance with school and state requirements
• Traveling between school sites as needed, with efforts made to keep assignments close in proximity (mileage reimbursed)

Contract details:

• Full-time hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm, approximately 35 hours per week
• Extended School Year (ESY) opportunity: July 8 – July 30, 2026, 8:00am-12:30pm, Monday–Thursday
• Full school year placement: August 13, 2026 – May 28, 2027
