Physical Therapist - School Setting in Fort Lauderdale, FL

Step into a flexible contract opportunity supporting students across multiple charter schools in southern and central Florida. This position is ideal for a physical therapist who enjoys variety and values autonomy, with services needed at several schools weekly, both on-site and through VOCO (virtual) sessions.

You'll provide essential care to students at several charter schools, with time commitments varying from 20 minutes to an hour per week/school, and some locations requiring just 30 minutes monthly or weekly. Travel between locations is minimal, making this role highly manageable for candidates living in or willing to commute within the broader Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach region.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and current Physical Therapist (PT) license in Florida
• Experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
• Comfort with both in-person and virtual (VOCO) student sessions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with school staff, teachers, and families
• Skilled in conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and tracking outcomes in a school environment
• Reliable transportation for travel between assigned charter school locations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy services to students according to IEP and 504 requirements
• Complete documentation and progress notes in a timely manner
• Collaborate with educational teams to develop appropriate therapeutic interventions
• Report on student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
• Maintain compliance with Florida licensure requirements and all applicable school protocols
