This full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week, with possible flexibility for slightly fewer hours) spans the 2026-2027 school year, starting August 3, 2026, and concluding May 28, 2027. You’ll work across multiple campuses, ensuring a dynamic and engaging professional experience.
You'll lead direct therapy services, collaborate with a supportive team, and play a key role in supervising Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs). Your skills will help students overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and increase their participation in school activities.
Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Florida (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, and implement therapy programs for a diverse student population
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience supervising PTAs a plus, with the ability to provide clear guidance and support
- Flexibility to work effectively across multiple campus environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality physical therapy services to students with varying needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans and IEP goals in collaboration with educational teams
- Document progress, maintain compliance with all necessary records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Supervise and mentor PTAs, ensuring consistent standards of care
- Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families about student progress
